Today's post about my life as a Vegas escort girl is a bit different than the rest. I'm going to tell you what I did today, from start to finish (well, to writing this to you, at least), because I think it's nice. :)
This morning, I woke up, had my morning cuppa, worked out and was planning on a relaxed day, doing a whole lot of nothing. That changed, however, when the phone rang as I was getting out of my workout clothes. Mind you, I have multiple phones, but this one is one I commonly use for long-time customers. I answered and found a client that I haven't heard from in a LONG TIME on the other end.
"I told him that I would violate my off-day to see him"
Just as I was about to tell him that today is one of my off days, he told me something that I respected. A lot. He said that when he was my regular client, long ago, he was single, but he recently got married. Then, he told me that he was in town and that he'd like to see me. Just as I was readjusting my view of him, to a different moral standing, he said that he would like to take me out shopping as a thank you for playing the role that I did in his life. And so, I acted very out of character, and I told him that I would violate my off-day to see him.
We arranged a place and time to meet, and then I hopped in the shower to get cleaned up. After showering, I did my makeup in a classy, reserved look and tossed on nice outfit before calling a cab. The cab took me to a coffee shop that this client, we'll call him "John," and I used to start out dates at. John was waiting there for me with a grin on his face. He hugged me, told me it was good to see me and we were off.
On the cab ride to one of my favorite upscale clothing stores, John showed me a picture of his wife and told me all about her. He also told me about how he asked her on a date because he was lonely and missing my company after he had moved away from Vegas. They fell in love and, after a few years, got married. He even said that she knew where he was and who he was with, and that she didn't mind (too much).
"...what I found made me both happy and sad"
John and I browsed the store while I tried on clothes and modeled them for him. After about two hours, I'd picked out several pieces and he immediately bought them all for me before offering to take me to one more store. After much deliberation, I decided on a lingerie store. Both for him and myself.
Here's where it got surreal for me. After I picked out a bunch of lingerie to try on and was telling him to wait outside the door and I'd model for him, he told me he'd wait in a chair outside. He said that he wanted to be a good man to his wife and that he just wanted to make me happy. I respect him very much for this, but as a Vegas escort girl, it was jarring to hear from a client. I quickly tried on my new under-things and headed out to put away a few that I didn't need, but what I found made me both happy and sad. It was odd, sweet and memorable. I found an empty chair.
In the empty chair, there was an envelope. In the envelope, there were gift cards to every store he'd ever taken me to, including a $1,000 gift card for the store I was standing in. No note, no John, just gift cards. I asked the lady at the front desk if she had seen him leave and she said that he'd left a message for me, letting me know that he'd paid for my cab fare home.
After the cab ride, I set down my bags, sat down in front of the computer, and began this blog post about a very, very strange day as a Vegas escort girl.
